Cyprus

Cyprus is an island where everyone wants part of it. The island is divided into two main parts, the
main Cyprus with heavy Greek influence, occupied Turkish northern part and smaller UK territories.

Larnaca

Larnaca is south-eastern capital of Cyprus, where the main international airport is.
It is famous for Saint Lazarus Church

Cyprus was annexed in 19th century by Great Britain.
Some major influences are still common in Cyprus.

In UK part of island cars have UK number plates

Cypriot number plates are sometimes surprisingly red backgrounded

Limassol

Limassol is the southern-most large city.
It is famous of its port.

And fantastic promenad

Nicosia 

Nicosia is the capital of the country and is split in between Cypriot and Occupied Turkish parts.

Two parties are separated by UN buffer zone (no man lands).

The buildings in UN buffer zone are abandoned

Military barricades are common spots 

Regular Cypriots continue to craft 

The central checkpoint for crossing to northern Cyprus

In the city the Armenian fast food is very popular

Nicosia hosts one of the most beautiful momuments

In northern part of Cyprus there is an old Armenian Church

Some Armenian writings have survived

Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa is the party and youth center of island.
It is famous for its stone bridge.

And of the most crowded beaches

Paphos 

Paphos is the cultural capital of Cyprus.
One of the first eye catching things of Paphos is Armenian Khachkar

Paphos as well as the rest of Cyprus enjoys abundance of street cats

Paphos has one of the most beautiful open air mosaics  

But the most known symbol of Paphos is the white lighthouse
