India - Varanasi

Varanasi is the holy city for Hindu people, and is target for non stopping pilgrimage.
The city is full of cultural shocks for a westerner.

In the morning everyone rushes to bath in river Ganges

Then stay on the bank to dry

Picture of Lord Shiva from Hindu religion, Varanasi is dedicated to him a lot

Over the bank of the Ganges are the Ghats, which are basically platforms for various purposes, e.g. bathing

For cremation

The river is very polluted,  but still people drink the water.
Birds attacking some food in water.

Some people wash their hairs

Free food for everyone

Right after bathing people walk bare footed to temple

Varanasi is also rich of temples, some of them are super colorful 

In general India is very colorful

The hustle and bustle is booming in city

Varanasi has one of the most tasty Indian food called Dosa

Varanasi is also a place where Buddha has done teachings

Every evening the Ganga Aarti ceremony is taking place
